GENERAL POLICIES FOR HORSEBACK RIDING ACTIVITIES:

  • Reservations are required but walk-ins are welcome May 15 - Sept 15. Please check our schedule for availability or call.
  • For the safety of our guests and horses, our standard rider weight limit is 225 pounds. This limit includes clothing and anything carried during the ride. If your total riding weight exceeds 225 pounds, please contact our office before booking to discuss whether an accommodation is possible. We reserve the right to verify a guest’s riding weight at check-in. Guests exceeding the weight limit without prior approval may be unable to participate, and the reservation will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Any children riding on a guided trail ride must be 6 years old AND 48 inches tall without shoes. No exceptions.
  • We are not a therapeutic riding facility and do not have the equipment or specialized training to accommodate certain mental and physical abilities. All riders must be able to balance with both feet on their own on top of the horse, guide the horse by turning left and right using the reins, and follow a trail guides' direction and instructions. If you are making reservations for anyone with a physical or mental disability, please call us to make sure we can properly accommodate everyone in your group.
  • For the safety of our guests and horses, we do not allow double riding.
  • You will be required to keep both feet in the stirrups (no ankle, knee or leg medical boots or casts).
  • You must be able to hold the reins and understand instructions given.
  • This is a single file, walking trail ride.
  • Once you have booked a ride, you have up to 24 hours before the scheduled ride to cancel without penalty. (10 days for meal rides). If you cancel within that window or are a no-show, no refund will be issued.
  • Rides go out in all weather. Cancellation due to unsafe weather conditions is up to the discretion of the barn manager. Our mountain weather is unpredictable, and we do our best to make decisions based on as accurate information as possible.
  • Please wear long pants (suggested for your comfort) and closed-toe shoes (required). Tennis shoes or boots are best. No sandals, crocks, flip flops, etc.
  • We have a mixed herd of horses and mules which may be assigned. We cannot guarantee a specific horse or that you might not ride a mule.
  • For the safety and comfort of our guests, staff, and horses, Historic Triple B Ranch is a smoke-, vape-, tobacco-, and alcohol-free property. Smoking, vaping, and tobacco use of any kind are prohibited in all buildings, throughout the ranch property, and while guests are around or riding horses.
  • If you are late arriving at check-in time, you will miss your ride, and no refund will be issued.
  • We reserve the right to refuse, discontinue, modify, or cancel any ride due to unsafe behavior or conditions. Guests removed for policy or safety violations will not receive a refund.

UNGUIDED POLICIES  

All GENERAL POLICIES apply PLUS all UNGUIDED riders:

  • must be 18 years old or older.
  • must be a level 3/Expert rider: a level 3 rider can ride any horse under any condition and agrees that they are knowledgeable about horses and western tack and take responsibility for both.
  • will be required to leave a $500 refundable deposit** per horse rented. This can be cash, or a credit card hold.
  • are required to leave their driver’s license and car keys at the front desk during ride.
**The required refundable deposit is an arbitrary amount. Any fees acquried may be more or less than the deposit. These conditions and deposit do not constitute all possible scenarios or total charges that rider may incur.
